Why We Built This Site
Oklahoma gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. In Cleveland County, the District Court Clerk (Marilyn Williams) maintains every District Court case file: felony, misdemeanor, civil, family and domestic, probate, guardianship, small claims, traffic, and divorce, along with marriage licenses. Land and real-estate records sit with a different office entirely: the County Clerk (Pam Howlett) records deeds, mortgages, liens, plats, tax liens, military discharge records, and county board minutes and agendas. The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office manages the jail roster and active warrants. At the state level, the Oklahoma State Courts Network (OSCN) hosts the online case search, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections tracks sentenced offenders, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) handles criminal-history checks and expungement, and Service Oklahoma with the Department of Public Safety covers driver records. Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
